Howdy.

I took this photograph at Howdy Doody here in Denton at some point within the last 4-5 years. I stumbled across the unedited file while rebuilding my website and reassembling my portfolio. The fact that my old blog is gone is what kills me the most about all of this. Some of the words I shared there were as important to me as the images.

The silver lining in this is I get to look at everything with fresh eyes, I suppose.

Then there's the fact that I get the opportunity to seriously reconsider how I blog from here on out, which is pretty cool. I'm sure I'll be sharing lots of old work as I discover little treasures - some of it you might have seen already, but I'm hoping to continue to unearth personal work that I never had time to touch. As much as I hate forced blogging at times, I'm going to try to view this one more as a way of documenting my journey as an artist rather than as this Super Social Media-y way of marketing my work, life, and personality.

These days, I am more intrigued and fulfilled by adventuring with my family and soaking up our time together, spending Sundays having tea with some of our artist friends, working in my little garden, and actually making art rather than force-feeding anyone this photoshopped idea of what my life is every day. Life has been extra sweet lately and I know that's because I'm focusing on being present in the moment.

Anyway, here's the new blog home base. Cheers to the collective journey and wherever it takes all of us.

From a house down the road, from real love -
xx.
